There is always something happening in Old Town Pocatello!  The Summer months feature Revive @ 5 free weekly concerts every Wednesday and the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market every Wednesday and Saturday.  We host First Friday Art Walk on the first Friday of every month, all year long, from 5-8pm. Along with the everyday excitement of shopping in our beautiful shops and dining in the variety of our international restaurants, there's also special events, parades and activities for the entire family.  Come experience the charm of Old Town Pocatello and see what you've been missing.

This Saturday at the Farmers Market:

On Saturday, the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will feature fresh, local Fall produce.  And, yes of course, pumpkins!  Don’t miss the apples, squash, onions, garlic, and more alongside beautiful handmade glass items, jewelry, pillows, blankets, tie dye, and the list goes on.  The Farmers Market is open every Saturday through the end of October from 9am to 1pm at the Old Town Pavilion.  

 

 

 

Attention Artists!

Alley In The Art Way, an exhibition from local artists in support of art education in our community will be coming to Old Town on Friday, October 7.  In conjunction with First Friday Art Walk, local artists led by Sammy Gravis, will be displaying murals personally created for this show.  The show will open at 3pm in the alley between W. Fremont and W. Lander St. and in the parking lot on the corner of N. Main and W. Lander, next to Gate City Boxing.  The pieces from the show will be auctioned and proceeds will go to fund next year’s show, the graduate art program at ISU and toward efforts surrounding education about public art in our community. 

 

If you are an artist and would like to create a mural for the show, please contact Sammy at 705-0988 or stop by the Old Town office, 420 N. Main St.  Mural sizes are 4’ x 4’ and 8’ x 4’.  Share your talent and help our art community!

Marshall Public Library

The Friends of the Marshall Public Library invite the public to their Fall Used Book Sale which will be held Thursday through Saturday, October 13 - 15, 2016. The sale will be held in the Marshall Library, 113 S. Garfield St., Pocatello.

 

A wide variety of soft and hardcover books as well as videos and CDs will be available for purchase.  Paperback items will be sold for $1.00 each and hardbacks for $2.00.  However, all remaining stock will be reduced 50% on Saturday morning! Hours for the sale are: Thursday, October 13 - 9:00 am to 9 pm, Friday, October 14  - 9:00 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, October 15  - 9 am to 4 pm.  At noon on Saturday, a bag sale will begin and continue until 4:00 pm.  Books will be $3.00 per bag (bags will be provided).  All sales are cash only, no checks accepted.  No bar code readers, please!  The Friends of Marshall Library is a 501(c)(3) organization and all proceeds will be used to benefit the library.  For further information please call Marshall Public Library at (208) 232-1263.
