4th of July Parade in Old Town!

 

The 4th of July Parade will be returning to Old Town Pocatello!  Sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union and Portneuf Medical Center, the parade will begin at 10am and will wind its way through Old Town Pocatello from the Old Town Pavilion to 1st Street.  This year’s theme is “Celebrate America.” Registration is now open and we would love to have you participate!  Please visit http://pocatelloparade.org to enter your float, view the parade route and for more information. 

 

This week in Old Town!

 

Villano’s Italian, 165 N. Main, has a great lunch special this week!  Kids 8 and under eat free Monday thru Wednesday from the kids menu!  Now is a great time to enjoy delicious Italian cuisine with the entire family.

 

Annie Halls’ Vintage Boutique, 130 N. 2nd, has a huge inventory of vintage and brand new dresses for the summer and fall including formals, casuals, wedding dresses and mother of the bride dresses. With great prices and a store full of accessories, too, now is the perfect time to do some shopping.  Open Thursday thru Saturday from 11am to 5pm.

 

Revive @ 5 on Wednesday will feature live music by Cold Water.  The Gate City Grays are this week’s sponsor.  The Grecian Key will be the featured restaurant with delicious food.  The special feature this week is the baseball super fan contest with fun prizes to be won. The Wednesday Farmers Market will be open, too!  Come enjoy great music, food, cold beverages, ice cream, and more on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the Old Town Pavilion.

 

The Tasting Room, 328 W. Clark, will be hosting Wednesday Night Trivia Night.  They will have a round at 6, 7, and 8pm with prizes for the winners of each round. Test your knowledge and enjoy a fun evening at The Tasting Room. And, don’t miss brunch on Saturdays and Sundays!  Thanks A Brunch is outside The Tasting Room from 9am to 2pm creating delicious menu options.

 

PV’s Uncorked on Main will host their June Wine Pairing on Thursday beginning at 6:30pm.  Reservations are required.  Please call 208-233-1322 to reserve your table today.  And, be sure to mark your calendars for PV’s Blend Experience!  Ever wanted to create your own, unique red blend?  Well…now you can!  On Saturday June 30, PV’s will host this unique event and provide you with the opportunity to create your own blend.  Blending Kits are limited so this event will also require reservations. 

 

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market is now open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Old Town Pavilion.  Be sure to stop in and shop fresh!

 

The First National, 232 W. Center, will host a Revive @ 5 After Party on Wednesday featuring Jake Kratochvil on stage from 8-10pm.  On Friday catch Sherrod Parkhouse and the Blue Day Riders on stage beginning at 9pm and on Saturday don’t miss Tom Bennett with Evan Norman live beginning at 10pm.

 

Come down to Portneuf Valley Brewing on Friday at 8:30pm for a BIG Soul Full of Blues Reunion Concert featuring Mike Cross, Kerry Pepper and Dan Lauer the harmonica man. It's a special performance from 9pm till 11:30pm or whenever the cows come home. One-Man-Band Tom Murphy will kick off the new entertainment hours on Saturday, performing from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. If you've been looking for a family-friendly night of great entertainment, visit PVB for dinner and a show!

 

Upcoming Events!

 

A new monthly Poetry Open Mic Night is coming to Old Town Pocatello.  On the last Saturday of every month the community is invited to come read and listen at the Gate City Fine Arts Gallery, 315 W. The Highland High School Class of 1998 will be holding their 20 Year Reunion June 28-30.  The Alumni Reception & Dinner will be held at the Pocatello Elks Lodge, 410 N. Great Harvest Bread will host their annual Christmas Basket Extravaganza during July.  This is where they show off their baskets for the upcoming holiday season. July First  

Friday Art Walk      July 6!   

Old Town will be alive with crowds on July 6, as we host the July First Friday Art Walk. Don't miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists as well as regional and national artists. The walk includes over twenty businesses, restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are always available. You may also find live music along the way. All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend monthly Art Walks.

 

During the July Art Walk children and artists will be creating fun sidewalk art throughout Old Town. Come stroll through the area and discover all of the creativity and talent of our youth!

 

Portneuf Valley Farmers Market

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market is open for the summer!  Enjoy local, fresh produce and more every Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the Old Town Pavilion!  And, every Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm May 23 through August 29 in conjunction with the Revive @ 5 Summer Concerts!

The Bannock Civitan Club is excited to once again host the Revive @ 5 Summer Concert Series. Please plan to join us at the Old Town Pavilion every Wednesday from 5-8pm all Summer long!
