The Market is open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm through the end of October, and every Wednesday from May 23 to August 29 from 5-8pm.  Located at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St., the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market brings the community of Pocatello and Chubbuck fresh produce, locally grown plants, trees and shrubs, hanging flower baskets, fresh baked goods, jams, jellies, honey and a varienty of handmade arts and craft items. Come shop the Market!   Buy local and help support over 100 local growers, artists and crafters.  Fresh, Local & Friendly at the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market.

The biggest, the most exciting Oktoberfest ever is coming on September 29th! The AvCenter Professional Aviation Services and the Southern Idaho Honda Dealers are proud to present the 13th Annual Oktoberfest Street Party at Portneuf Valley Brewing on Saturday, September 29th! Gates open at 4pm with live music featuring Gas, Food & Lodging, The Kyd-J Band and Soul Full of Blues beginning at 5pm. Beer, brats, music, and Oktoberfest fun for the entire family. All ages welcome! Half price admission for ISU students. Plan to celebrate Oktoberfest in style at the street party following the ISU homecoming game!  Don’t miss Oktoberfest Street Party, Saturday September 29th at Portneuf Valley Brewing, 615 S. 1st Avenue.

Old Town Pocatello is the place to be on the First Friday of every month, all year long. First Friday Art Walk features art, music, food, fashion and more in over 20 downtown shops and restaurants. Admission to the event is free. Parking is free, too. From 5 to 8pm on the first Friday of every month you are invited to come enjoy Art Walk in Old Town Pocatello.

Great Pumpkin Festival & Portneuf Valley Farmers Market!

Old Town Pocatello is pleased to present “Downtown Days Great Pumpkin Festival!”  This two-day celebration is a wonderful way to prepare for the coming holidays. During First Friday Art Walk we will host a pumpkin carving and decorating contest. Pumpkins will be on display throughout Old Town, and you can vote for your favorites. There will be prizes in several categories and age groups. On Saturday, the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will move to Main Street and a variety of new vendors will be on hand with items for holiday decorating and gift giving. There will be a pie baking contest, face painting, music, food and lots of fun for the entire family!

 

* Carved and/or decorated pumpkins should be dropped off at the locations listed below prior to 5pm on Friday, October 5.  Judging will take place during First Friday Art Walk.  Winners will be contacted on Saturday, October 6.  Pumpkins and prizes may be picked up on Saturday afternoon between 3 and 4pm.

2nd Place Winners in each category will receive a $20 gift card from the hosting merchant.

3rd Place Winners in each category will receive a $10 gift card from the hosting merchant.

All Winners will receive ribbons!

 

We suggest all pumpkins be soaked in bleach water prior to dropping them off.

Welcome the Christmas Season with the community traditions in Old Town Pocatello!  The day after Thanksgiving, Santa will arrive at 3pm at Station Square to visit with children until 6pm when he departs for the Parade.  The Night Lights Parade will begin winding its way through Old Town Pocatello at 6:30pm. Hundreds of floats, all with beautiful lights, will have candy and fun items for the kids.

 

Small Business Saturday will feature free photos with Santa, milk & cookies, free trolley rides and art projects for the kids.  Mark your calendars now and don't miss celebrating the most magical time of year in Old Town Pocatello.

Urban Invasion Obstacle Challenge

Pocatello’s only 5K obstacle race will be returning on Saturday, April 27th.  Don't miss the 7th Annual Urban Invasion Obstacle Challenge.  This is a four person race, so grab your three most adventure seeking buddies and register your team to compete your way through Old Town Pocatello.


Along the course you’ll encounter 20 crazy obstacles built by local businesses and organizations. Test your mettle against other invasive runners and win great prizes and bragging rights.

Old Town will be alive with crowds on October 5, as we host the October First Friday Art Walk. Don't miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists as well as regional and national artists. The walk includes over twenty businesses, restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are always available. You may also find live music along the way. All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend monthly Art Walks.
