First Friday Art Walk, January 2nd

 

First Friday Art Walk takes place on the First Friday of each month, ALL Year Long
5:00 - 8:00pm

Old Town is alive with crowds of visitors on the first Friday of each month from 5-8pm.  Don't miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists as well as regional and national artists. The walk includes over twenty businesses, restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are always available. You may also find live music along the way. All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend monthly Art Walks. Art Walk guides are available right here on this web site the Thursday before the walk.

Idaho Bridal Fair 2015 will return to Pocatello on Saturday, February 28, 2015.  Beginning at 9am, the Red Lion Hotel Pocatello will showcase everything a bride and groom needs to plan the perfect wedding, honeymoon and future.  From florists to jewelers, and from caterers to entertainment, local busineses will display their products and services designed to help orchestrate the day you will treasure forever.  Vendor registration is open.  The vendor agreement is located at the event website, www.idahobridalfair.com .

 

Bride Registration is Open!  The day will also include hourly prize drawings and a grand prize valued at over $1,000! Admission is FREE to all brides and we request you register prior to arriving. Grooms are welcome too! Please register at www.idahobridalfair.com.

Gate City Brewfest 2015

The 5th Annual Gate City Brewfest will be returning to Old Town Pocatello on Saturday, March 14.  Our favorite brewers will be returning along with some new selections for sampling. Of course, there will be live music, great food and fun along the way.  Free trolley service will also be available.  Mark your calendars and don't miss this day long beer stroll!  Tickets will be available beginning in December.

Pocatello's only 5K obstacle race will be returning to Old Town Pocatello on Saturday, April 25th.  Plan now to compete as SEICAA and Old Town Pocatello host this four person team race.  Grab your three most adventure seeking friends and register your team to compete your way through Old Town.  Along the course you'll encounter 20 crazy obstacles built by local businesses and organizations.  Test your mettle against other invasive runners and win great prizes and bragging rights.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will open for another season on Saturday, May 1.  The Market will be open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm through the end of October.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the market, please contact the Market Manager at 208-705-7333.

Hosted by the Bannock Civitan Club, Revive @ 5 is the place to be on Wednesday nights during the summer.  The event features a live band each week, a different featured restaurant each week, cold beverages, the Wednesday Farmers Market and fun for the entire family.

Board of Directors invite you to attend the 2014 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony.  Registration will begin at 5:30pm and the business meeting will begin at 6:00pm.  The annual awards will be presented and the Board of Directors for 2014-2015 will be announced.  The public is welcome and refreshments will be served.

The Saturday between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday.  Shop Small All Day Long!  Why should you shop, dine and play in Old Town?  Because our collection of specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries, bars, pubs, studios, schools and professional offices (all 239 of them) are all owned by small business people who live right here.  They offer a wonderful variety of inventories, foods and services and they support our local community.  They hire local and they buy local too.  Shop Small and Shop in Old Town.  Locals love locals!

Saturday! The last Saturday to shop before Christmas is December 20.  If you wait til' the last minute, don't shop big, shop small, shop downtown and find the perfect gifts to complete your Santa List. Merchants will have specials all day long!
