First Friday Art Walk

Old Town is alive with crowds of visitors on the first Friday of each month from 5-8pm. Don't miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists, regional and national artists. The walk includes over twenty businesses restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are available. You may also find live music along the way. All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend this monthly event.  Art Walk guides are available here beginning the Thursday prior to the event.

Every month it comes to town,
First Friday Art Walk can be found
Up and down Main Street for one and for all
To meander the shops where art is on call.

You'll find pictures painted in Acrylics and Oils,
Sculpture of people and animals and even an Owl.
Flowers and trees, homes and a boat,
Some one had rigged up a feisty old goat.

There is jewelry and hair bows,
Belts, hand bags, and clothes.
Baby dresses and big fluffy dish rags,
I found a flare skirt that didn't even sag.

How kind of Shop Keepers to open their doors,
And even serve treats to the Comers and Goers.
Some antique things were also found,
One as old as me and nearly as round
What fun to see Old Town, it's been here so long
So come on down and join the throng.
